Shandong Business Institute speeds up the integration with international education and explores the international school-running mode actively. The school of international education is a characteristic department of Shandong Business Institute. It has undertaken the important task of the national development strategy of "going out" and meet the needs of economic globalization.
Our school has actively and steadily promoted international exchanges and cooperation, forming an international layout of "relying on Southeast Asia, developing Japan and South Korea and expanding Europe and the United States". At present, our school has established cooperative relation with 18 countries and has developed a variety of cooperation projects covering teacher and student exchange, teaching and scientific research, Sino-foreign joint-running program, vocational skills (including language) training, online preparatory courses and so on. At present, the foreign universities we cooperate with mainly University of Sunderland, International College Portsmouth, Murray State University, Malaga University, KAMK University of Applied Sciences, Stanford Academy (Singapore), City University (Malaysia), Gachon University, Hanyang University and so on. The school has set up two Sino-foreign cooperative projects. The school took the lead in the construction of China-Congo Vocational and Technical College (North Mining Campus), jointly built a Chinese Workshop with DRC LAMIKA Co., Ltd., established two overseas education and training centers in Singapore and Japan, and successfully completed the Chinese Bridge Project of “Chinese+Intelligent Programming Journey” in 2021. There are currently 2 professional teaching standards and 11 curriculum standards recognized by overseas universities. In the past five years, more than 200 teachers and students have gone abroad for exchange and further study, and have undertaken the training of overseas employees of "going out" enterprises for 800 person-time.
Our school currently has joined 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Research Association, Southeast Asian Association for Overseas Vocational Education, “Belt and Road”---BRICs International Alliance for Skill Development, China-Belarus (Shandong) Alliance for International Cooperation in Education, China-Africa (South) Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance, China Education Association for International Exchange, and Sino-Thai Vocational Education Alliance, and actively expanded international exchanges and cooperation by using the platform of the international alliance.
In the future, the school of international education will further create an international atmosphere of our education, focus on the internationalization of talent training and academic research, expand the scale of Sino-foreign joint-running program, and realize a new pattern of school education opening to the outside world in the new era.
