On August 15, Gao Yanan, a teacher from our school and the third batch of seconded faculty to the DRC Ban-Mo Academy & Lamika Chinese Workshop, successfully arrived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to commence her work in "Chinese + Vocational Skills" teaching and skill competition preparation.

Building upon the solid foundation of previous Chinese language instruction, this phase focuses on critical shortage areas such as mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as electrical welding. The key tasks include finalizing the output of core curriculum standards, developing localized teaching resources, and achieving the dual goals of technology transfer and enhanced talent training effectiveness.

Bearing International Responsibility, Demonstrating Institutional Commitment

Our school consistently upholds the philosophy of open education, actively responds to the national strategy of opening-up, and integrates its own development into the broader context of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The continuous selection and dispatch of teachers to the DRC for three consecutive years fully demonstrates the school's exceptional faculty strength, high sense of social responsibility, and forward-looking international perspective. The school not only provides robust talent and cultural support for overseas Chinese enterprises but also, through the bridge of educational exchange, effectively promotes cultural connectivity and people-to-people bonds between China and Africa, showcasing the positive role and positive image of Chinese vocational institutions on the international stage.

Dedicated Teachers Crossing Continents to Pass on the Torch

The responsibilities of the seconded teacher extend far beyond routine instruction. Even before her departure, Ms. Gao Yanan, demonstrating high professionalism and dedication, actively participated in the preparations for the second "Skills for Success, Show Your Talent" skill competition for local employees, organized by Northern Mining Co., injecting "Business Energy" into the event's success. Furthermore, serving as a judge for the mechanic competition category, Ms. Gao strictly adhered to the competition rules and judge's discipline, faithfully fulfilled her duties, and ensured seriousness, conscientiousness, fairness, and accuracy, safeguarding the competition's fairness with her professional spirit.

Deepening "Chinese + Skills," Charting a New Blueprint for the Workshop

The Ban-Mo Academy & Lamika Chinese Workshop is a significant international cooperation platform jointly established by our school and Northern Mining Co. Its core model is the innovative "Chinese + Vocational Skills" training, which aims to both teach the Chinese language—helping local employees overcome language barriers and understand Chinese culture—and impart advanced practical technologies, cultivating compound local talent proficient in both language and technical skills for enterprises.

With Ms. Gao Yanan's arrival, the Chinese Workshop will further optimize and expand its curriculum system. Through systematic and standardized teaching and training, it will significantly enhance the comprehensive vocational literacy and technical application capabilities of local employees, providing higher-quality human resources support for the enterprise's high-quality operations. Simultaneously, using language learning and skill training as a bond, more cultural exchange activities will be held to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and Congolese staff, making the Chinese Workshop a model base for China-Africa people-to-people exchanges.

By exploring the establishment of a long-term operational mechanism, the successful model of the Chinese Workshop will be summarized and promoted, striving to become a replicable and referable benchmark project for international cooperation in "Chinese + Vocational Skills" education.

Looking forward, our school will continue to leverage its strengths, dispatch more excellent teachers, expand broader areas of cooperation, and contribute more "Business Power" to serving national strategies, promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and writing a new chapter for the China-Africa community with a shared future.
