On September 7th, the closing ceremony of the "Chinese + On-site Management Vocational Skills" summer camp for participants from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was held at our institute's Party Spirit Education Base. Relevant leaders from the Nonferrous Metals Industry Talent Center and our institute's International Education College, along with four team leaders and 27 students from Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, gathered to witness the successful conclusion of this "Chinese Bridge" summer camp.
Liu Jingguang, Dean of the International Education College, delivered a speech in which he stated that this summer camp was not only a feast of language and skills but also a carnival of Sino-African cultural integration, friendship, and cooperation. The institute would always uphold an open and inclusive educational philosophy, using Chinese as a bridge to connect with friends from all over the world, actively expand friendly exchanges in humanities, education, youth, and civil sectors, and better promote mutual learning and appreciation of civilizations as well as mutual understanding and affinity among peoples.
The student representatives expressed that this Chinese Bridge journey not only allowed them to understand traditional Chinese culture but also significantly improved their skill levels and language abilities. They pledged to share their gains from this journey with other employees in their respective countries to help overseas employees enhance their overall job competence.
During the student talent showcase, team leaders, students, and Chinese students took the stage to perform various programs, including energetic African songs and dances, tea ceremony performances and ethnic dances showcasing China's unique charm, as well as dance performances jointly presented by Chinese and African students. Their performances not only embodied the diversity of Sino-African cultures but also highlighted the enduring friendship and broad prospects for cooperation between China and Africa. The "Chinese Bridge" summer camp served as a grand stage for showcasing exquisite talents, helping overseas friends understand Chinese civilization, experience Chinese culture, and provide a platform for everyone to present their national cultures.
The atmosphere reached a climax during the presentation of graduation certificates, outstanding student awards, and souvenirs. Relevant leaders from the Nonferrous Metals Industry Talent Center and the International Education College presented graduation certificates and outstanding student awards to each team and presented souvenirs. This was not only a recognition of the students' academic achievements but also an encouragement and expectation for their future development. Finally, all participants took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
