On September 19th, the closing ceremony of the "Linguistic Bridge to the World, Skills Reaching Globally" Advanced Seminar on "Chinese Language + On-site Management" for Team Leaders of the Northern Mining Congo (Kinshasa) Project, jointly organized by our university and Northern Mining Co., Ltd., was held at our university. Zhang Yunsheng, Vice President of the university, relevant leaders from the School of Economics and Management and the International School of Education, Liu Junjie, the training specialist of the Human Resources Department of Northern Mining Co., Ltd., and 17 overseas enterprise team leaders from the local branches of Lamika Co., Ltd. and Komika Mining Simplified Co., Ltd. in Congo (Kinshasa) gathered together to witness the successful conclusion of this event.

Zhang Yunsheng first extended sincere thanks on behalf of the university to Northern Mining Co., Ltd. and all the staff who provided strong support for this event. He emphasized that the dual enhancement of language and skills is an indispensable core competitiveness for talents in multinational enterprises. He hoped that the participants could transform their knowledge into practical momentum, continue to shine in their team leader positions, become leaders in the industry, strive to be ambassadors of friendly exchanges between the two countries, inherit the friendship between the Chinese and Congolese peoples, and promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

Liu Junjie expressed high praise for the university's meticulous planning and organization of this event and thanked the university's teachers for their patient guidance and attentive care. He said that as one of the pioneering industries in China's "going out" strategy to develop mineral resources, Northern Mining Co., Ltd. has always adhered to an international development strategy. This event is of great significance in promoting the quality improvement of the overseas enterprise workforce and further deepening the in-depth cooperation between China and Congo in the mining field and the spiritual bond between the peoples.

During the exchange session, Li Rui, the Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management, mentioned that the course was tailored to the reality of overseas Chinese-funded enterprises, covering hotspots and difficulties in team production such as fundamentals of on-site management, 5S management, material management, equipment management, and practical safety education and training for teams, aiming to bridge the "last mile" in production management. She hoped that the participants could integrate the essence of what they had learned into practice and strive to become industry leaders and cultural exchange ambassadors.

In the session of student representatives' speeches, representatives from Lamika and Komika took the stage in turn. Representative Dodo said that although the training lasted only a short week, the rich content enabled him to have a close encounter with and experience China's advanced on-site management techniques, which was a valuable experience for him. Representative Mudamba said that the training allowed him to feel the charm of Chinese culture and the development of Chinese science and technology. Through field visits to enterprises and experiencing production management in practice, it was more vivid and real than online training, and he gained a lot. Afterwards, the attending leaders presented graduation certificates to the participants one by one and took a group photo for memory.
