From February 1 to 4,Sun Yunmao,Secretary of the University Party Committee,along with Tong Xiangrong,Dean of the School of Computer and Control Engineering at Yantai University,and leaders from eight other universities,as well as representatives from two enterprises—a total of 12 people—participated in the"Into Shenzhen,Connecting the World with Intelligence"event organized by the Yantai Computer Federation.This event aimed to delve into the frontiers of artificial intelligence,explore the development trends of the intelligent industry,and investigate the alignment between talent cultivation and industrial demands.
On February 2,the delegation visited Huawei's Bantian Campus in person and held in-depth discussions,gaining a comprehensive experience of Huawei's technological strength and innovation culture.Members of the delegation experienced Huawei's cutting-edge intelligent driving technology firsthand and learned about its breakthroughs in artificial intelligence algorithms,sensor fusion,and vehicle-road collaboration.Subsequently,a special seminar was held where Huawei provided systematic explanations on solutions for enterprise digital transformation and industry intelligent upgrades,and exchanged views on the educational applications of technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence.After the seminar,the delegation visited Huawei's Von Neumann Exhibition Hall to gain an in-depth understanding of Huawei's long-term strategies and latest achievements in computing architecture,foundational software,artificial intelligence,and full-stack independent innovation.
That afternoon,the delegation visited Huawei's Songshan Lake R&D Base.The delegation not only appreciated Huawei's corporate atmosphere,which blends the humanities with a research spirit,but also experienced firsthand how Huawei deeply integrates cutting-edge ICT technologies into thousands of industries such as manufacturing,transportation,and energy,forming implementable and replicable innovative practices through on-site visits.This innovation model,driven by technology and motivated by scenarios,provides valuable reference directions for the university in relevant disciplinary construction,research transformation,and the cultivation of interdisciplinary digital talent.It also sparked new thinking on how to lead educational innovation with industrial demand.
On the morning of February 3,the delegation visited Tonglifang Technology Co.,Ltd.As an innovative enterprise focusing on virtual simulation,Tonglifang showcased its latest technological achievements and solutions to the delegation.Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on technological innovation and virtual simulation applications in areas such as intelligent manufacturing,virtual simulation,and network communications.This exchange opened up new avenues for the university in practical teaching,curriculum co-development,and technology transformation for related majors.
On the afternoon of February 3,the delegation visited UBTECH Robotics.As a globally leading artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics company,UBTECH showcased its innovative robotics achievements across various scenarios including service,education,and entertainment.Participants engaged in lively discussions on topics such as the latest advancements in AI robotics technology,challenges in industrialization and implementation,and the construction of AI education ecosystems.UBTECH's solutions in areas like STEAM education and vocational training provided significant inspiration for the university in exploring interdisciplinary integration,future industry layout,and innovative practical teaching models.
This trip to Shenzhen was a learning journey focused on new technologies and new concepts.It not only promoted school-enterprise cooperation between our university and enterprises in Yantai and Shenzhen,facilitating industry connection,but also strengthened close collaboration among the eight universities located in Yantai,the Yantai Computer Federation,and Dongfang Electronics,enhancing communication and cooperation in areas such as 3+2 vocational-undergraduate integrated talent cultivation,industry-university-research innovation,and the integration of universities with local development.By engaging closely with leading industry enterprises such as Huawei,Tonglifang,UBTECH,and Dobot,the delegation further broadened their horizons and strengthened their resolve to integrate cutting-edge technologies into talent cultivation,providing direction for the cultivation of talent in digital and intelligent fields at our university in the future.
