Recently, the 16th Shandong Vocational College Skills Competition Higher Vocational Group "Application Software System Development" event was held in Zibo. Cai Kecheng, Dong Guangyuan, and Wang Liping, three students guided by Gu Haiyan and Li Suzu from our school, demonstrated solid professional knowledge and excellent teamwork ability in the competition. After six hours of fierce competition, they won the second prize as a team.
The "Application Software System Development" competition is one of the newly added events in the 2023 Shandong Vocational College Skills Competition, aiming to implement the national software development strategy, connect with the current new technologies, new formats, new models, and new requirements in the field of software engineering, and focus on examining the abilities of contestants in database design, algorithm analysis and design, software design and development, software deployment testing and operation and maintenance, software project document preparation, etc. in the real project environment of enterprises.
This competition fully demonstrated the solid vocational skills of our students and tested the results of theoretical teaching and skill training in software technology courses. Our school will further promote the reform of talent cultivation mechanism based on competition-driven teaching, learning, and integration of job, course, competition, and certificate, and continuously improve the quality of technical and skilled talent cultivation to serve the development of regional information technology industry.
