On August 15th, the opening ceremony of the 2024 "Chinese Bridge" Online Group Exchange Program was held in the Learning Center on the first floor of our institute's administrative building. Mr. Zhang Yunsheng, Vice President of our institute, and Mr.Jin Dawang, the Educational and Cultural Counselor of the Lao Embassy in China, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Ms. Kong Xi, President of Lasa College of Laos, Mr. Liu Jingguang, Dean of our International Education College, and teacher representative Ms. Li Wenye, as well as over 100 teachers and students from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Tajikistan, and other countries, gathered virtually to celebrate the launch of the online program.

On behalf of the institute, Mr. Zhang Yunsheng extended a warm welcome to all leaders, guests, and participants from various countries. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to relevant organizations and friends who have provided significant support for the program. Zhang noted that the institute has been dedicated to facilitating exchanges and interactions between China and overseas Chinese language learners, actively building platforms for cooperation and exchange, and promoting international cooperation and development in education. He hoped that through this program, students could use the "bridge" as a medium to build a "bridge of culture, friendship, and hearts" between China and foreign countries, share authentic Chinese stories with the world, and enable everyone to hear diverse and vibrant Chinese voices. He encouraged them to strive to become ambassadors for spreading friendship between China and other nations in the future.

Mr. Jin Dawang, the Educational and Cultural Counselor, highly praised our university's organization of this event and expressed his hope that the "Chinese Bridge" program would further deepen cooperation and exchanges between Laos and China in education, culture, and other fields, strengthen the social and popular foundation of Laos-China friendship, promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and jointly build a high-standard, high-quality, and high-level Laos-China community with a shared future. He also urged the participants to cherish this rare learning opportunity, gain knowledge, and strive to become ambassadors for strengthening Laos-China relations.

As an internationally influential cultural exchange event, the "Chinese Bridge" Online Group Exchange Program has been successfully held for four consecutive years at our institute. Centered on the theme of "Showcasing Chinese Culture, Gathering in Yantai, Shandong, Appreciating Mountains and Seas, and Learning Business Management Skills," this program integrates language learning, cultural experiences, interactive exchanges, and business management skills training. It aims to guide participants in understanding the historical evolution of Chinese culture, exploring the wisdom of Shandong's sages, experiencing the local customs of Yantai's fairyland, and mastering basic Chinese language and practical skills for business management. It provides a platform for students to exchange ideas and learn from each other, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural and vocational skills between China and foreign countries.
