Recently, the opening ceremony for the "Chinese + Fitter & Welder Skills Training" program under the Lubumbashi Chinese Workshop, a collaborative project between our university and La Minière de Kasombo (LA MIKA) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, was successfully held. This training represents a significant cooperation initiative between the two parties in the field of vocational skills enhancement. Through online instruction, the program aims to provide systematic and professional fitter and welder skills training for LA MIKA employees, further improving the professional competencies and overall quality of local staff while promoting enterprise development.

At the opening ceremony, Shi Denghua, Party Branch Secretary of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, provided a detailed introduction to the curriculum design, teaching arrangements, and faculty resources for this training program. The courses will focus on the core aspects of fitter and welder skills, tailored to the actual work requirements of the enterprise. This ensures that trainees can not only acquire solid theoretical knowledge but also proficiently use various fitter tools and operational techniques to enhance their practical work abilities.

Additionally, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing has selected a team of professional instructors with extensive teaching and practical experience to ensure the high-quality delivery of the training program.
Feng Xingliang, Deputy General Manager of LA MIKA, expressed sincere gratitude for the university's support in his speech and emphasized the importance of this training for the career development of local employees and the company's production operations. The company hopes that this program will effectively improve employees' technical skills, cultivate more outstanding technical talents, and further drive the enterprise's technological innovation and development.
The launch of this online fitter and welder skills training program reflects our university's active response to China's "Going Global" strategy and our commitment to deepening international cooperation in vocational education. By leveraging online teaching platforms, the program breaks geographical barriers, enabling the sharing of high-quality educational resources and providing overseas enterprises and their local employees with convenient and efficient learning opportunities.
Moving forward, our university will use this training as an opportunity to explore more collaboration possibilities with international enterprises, expand the scope and depth of vocational education cooperation, and contribute to the globalization of vocational education.
