To further promote the integration of industry and education, foster collaborative education between university and enterprise, preserve and promote the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage of bronze carving techniques, and innovate the talent cultivation model for art design, the School of Art and Design of our university recently signed an agreement with the national intangible cultural heritage brand "Zhu Bingren Bronze" to jointly establish the Zhu Bingren Bronze Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural Creative Talent Cultivation Base. Together, they aim to create a new benchmark for cultivating compound art design talents equipped with dual skills: "professional skills + intangible cultural heritage skills."
As a representative inheritor brand of the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage of bronze carving techniques, Zhu Bingren Bronze is renowned in the industry for its exquisite bronze craftsmanship, profound cultural depth, and innovative cultural product development. It serves as a model for the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese crafts. This university-enterprise collaboration focuses on the characteristics of the art design discipline and the needs of intangible cultural heritage preservation. It centers on multi-dimensional cooperation areas including talent cultivation, joint curriculum development, practical training, cultural creative research and development, and joint faculty training, aiming to establish a comprehensive, in-depth, and normalized collaborative education mechanism.
Following the establishment of the base, the university and enterprise will jointly develop specialized courses on intangible cultural heritage bronze art and cultural creativity. They will invite intangible cultural heritage inheritors and industry experts to teach on campus, integrating traditional bronze carving techniques, molten bronze art, and cultural creative design practice into professional instruction. A joint practical training platform will be established to provide students with real-world scenarios for studying intangible cultural heritage techniques, designing cultural creative products, and engaging in project development, thereby strengthening their hands-on abilities and innovative thinking. Joint research on intangible cultural heritage cultural creativity and product development will be conducted to promote the deep integration of intangible cultural heritage elements with modern design and market demands, producing cultural creative outcomes that possess both cultural value and market competitiveness.
Taking this collaboration as an opportunity, the university will continue to deepen the reform of its talent cultivation model, closely combining intangible cultural heritage preservation with professional teaching. The focus is on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents with "dual skills"—mastery of both modern art design professional skills and the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage technique of bronze artistry. This initiative aims to inject youthful vitality into the living transmission of intangible cultural heritage while providing talent support for the high-quality development of the regional cultural creative industry, ultimately achieving a win-win situation for the university and enterprise and ensuring the continuity of cultural heritage.
