    2024 Joint Management Committee Meeting for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Between Our University and the University of Malaga, Spain, Successfully Held

    On the afternoon of December 23rd, the 2024 Joint Management Committee Meeting for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education between our university and the University of Malaga, Spain, was held via video conference in the meeting room on the first floor of the administrative building. Zhang Yunsheng, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, and Juan Carlos, Director of the International Affairs Office of the University of Malaga, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Jingguang, Dean of the International Education College. 

    On behalf of our university, Zhang Yunsheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the University of Malaga. He noted that over the past three years, the collaboration between the two institutions has deepened significantly. A series of activities, including high-level visits, professional seminars, joint curriculum development, and student exchanges, have been successfully carried out, yielding positive outcomes. He expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to deepen industry-academia-research collaboration, expand cooperative fields, and further achieve high-quality development in cooperative education. 

    In his speech, Juan Carlos expressed his profound friendship and confidence in the partnership with our university. He hoped that the two institutions would explore more innovations in joint research, academic exchanges, and faculty and student visits in the future, thereby continuously enhancing the international influence of their cooperative programs. 

    During the meeting, Liu Jingguang introduced the agenda items, and the committee members reviewed each item one by one. The meeting reviewed and approved the "Changes to the Joint Management Committee Members" and the "2024 Report on the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Program in Software Technology." 

    In the discussion session, both sides reached consensus on various topics, including the "3+1" joint undergraduate-to-master's program, program evaluation and contract renewal, joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, arrangements for foreign teachers to teach in China, and quality assurance in teaching. Representatives from the International Affairs Office and the School of Information Engineering of the University of Malaga, as well as relevant officials from the International Education College and the School of Information Engineering of our university, attended the meeting.
